Neglecting Children

I ran across this book/quote while i was read friend's updates on goodreads.com. This one stuck out to me a lot - - it's very bold.

Quote: "The woman who deserts the cradle in order to help defend civilization against the barbarians may well later meet, among the barbarians, her own neglected child." -Choosing Motherhood, by Collings, Hahl, & Eves.

It seems that it could be applied to mothers in the workforce too... those kids often get neglected.
